3 months old today!

It's my boy's (birth) day!! Or Month- day, which ever day you want to call it, my boy is getting bigger and cuter by the minute! His litlle personality is exploding, especially when i take off his nappy to let him "breathe" a bit and he pees all over his desk!

Lian is such a blessing and we were JUST getting excited that he was almost sleeping through when daddy messed up a little bit! The past week was extremely busy for both Heinz and myself and our businesses, and I was honestly struggling to manage baby and work but by the grace of our Lord, and my awesome husband and helper Yvonne, we got through the week and Lian (almost) had all his feeds! On Thursday morning I had to leave the house at 6 to present a Corporate and just after 5 I was sitting on the bathroom floor expressing my massive- morning breasts. 12 weeks and counting

Hello my dearest friends! i stand in awe when I think about the fact that my baby is 12 weeks old today! I had lunch with a friend today who is 38 weeks pregnant and is looking forward to giving natural birth (after her first c-section) at the Genesis Clinic. She asked my how it felt when the contractions started and by telling her the whole story everything came flooding back. SOOOO vividly! What an experience? I also finished the book "Atonement Child" by Francine Rivers this week and last night when I read the final pages of the actual birth (while I was in the bath) my body went through the actions with the hero!

It STILL is the MOST AMAZING and wonderful miracle on earth! Don't you agree? I thank God everyday for this perfectly wonderfully made baby and just pray for protection in this cruel world!

My baby is getting BIG!

I have now learned not to brag about how good my boy is because TOUCH WOOD exactly after sending this off, I get challenged! My new dilemma is that I have started to express more often at irregular hours and now that I want to breastfeed my baby again (because it is just so much more convenient) I have NO idea if I have enough milk! I had LOTS of milk and I started to express to determine how much my baby is getting in, but now it feels like I have lost it? Do I just keep going at it to "activate" my breastmilk again? Come on, you ladies are great with advise bring it on!

Tannie Annie also told us to give Lian a "mock" bottle in the afternoon with 60ml water, one scoop of formula and half a teaspoon of rice porridge. He hated it though and then we tried Nestergel (for the reflux) not crazy about that either so next on the list is Purity's Porridge...I will let you know!

Vaccination TIME!

Hey Bush Baby family! Trust you all had a great week and is getting ready for the week to come. I think the sting is out of the Winter and that we may sing a different tune in a few days.

Lian was a tropper this week. On Wednesday we had to go for his 8 week 6 in 1 vaccinations. And I (the mommy) had to go alone because daddy had a previously booked appointment. I won't lie, I was VERY nervous! Heinz and I had to take my niece for her one year shots a year ago and I cried more than her. Also when she had her ears pierced, I cried uncontrolably! AND SHE IS MY NIECE!

Lian even smiled at the nurse with a shivering lip when she undressed his bottoms. The next moment she stabbed him in the leg with a shot and BOOM another one in the other leg. He cried for about 10 seconds and then it was over, but at about 5 that afternoon he ... Read More »
